Jewelry Spotlight: Urbanite Necklace by Premier Designs

Our featured piece this month is the gorgeous Urbanite Necklace.  There are so many possibilities with this piece.  We are going to look at a few, but let your creativity flow.  Urbanite has graduated lengths of hematite plated curb chain in three sizes, accented with large hematite plate oval rings in various sizes.  There are also fun twisted wire “knots”.  It is 36″ long with a 3″ extender and a lobster claw closure.  We show it first worn long and then you can double it as well.  You may have to play around with the chains until you reach your desired look.

One is good, but two is better!  Now we are showing Urbanite layered with our other popular necklaces.  City Lights, petite hematite plated curb chain has six fixed stations with faceted clear crystals in round bezellite settings.  City Lights is 60″ long and is shown doubled.  Don’t forget, when you double our necklaces, utilize that lobster closure and secure both layers with the closure.  This will keep your necklace in place all day and stop it from choking you.  Next we are showing Urbanite with the Venice Necklace.  Venice has beautiful jewel tones.  It has textured circular and oval rings accented by the mix of glass and genuine agate beads in muted shades of pink, ruby, sapphire and amethyst.  It is hematite plated and is 16″ long with a 4″ extender.  Manhattan is an on trend piece that mixes rhodium and hematite plating.  When added to Urbanite is is stunning.  Manhattan is eight fluid strands of small cable chain that alternate between the two metal tones.  It is 36″ long with a lobster claw closure.

One is good, two is better, and three gives you that pulled together look that we all want!   We have doubled Manhattan and added our magnetic Romance enhancer which creates that polished, pulled together look.  Romance goes well with many necklaces.  It is a scallop-edge filigree medallion of antiqued matte silver plate that is accented with black acrylic stones.  It measures 2.5″ in diameter and has that exclusive Premier Designs magnetic closure.  Instant Style is a beautiful piece by itself and will be front and center in our next Jewelry Spotlight, but this time we have added it to Urbanite, putting one of the beaded strands behind the neck.  Instant Style is a three-strand necklace.  Half of this 32″ necklace has one strand of faceted jet black beads, one strand of faceted hematite plated rondelles, and one strand of heavy Singapore chain.  The fourth strand of faceted jet black beads has double lobster closures (behind the neck).  This strand can be be removed and wrapped around your wrist for an instant bracelet.  1, 2, 3…  Now shorten Instant Style, add Romance into this mix and your results are fabulous!  To achieve this look we used the large jump rings on Instant Style secured with one of our Clip Its behind the neck.  If you are unfamiliar with our Clip It, it is simply a clip that holds two strands/rings together.  They are sold in Gold, Silver, Hematite and Brass.

Rhapsody, which we have doubled, has large textured teardrop rings of hematite plated wire that are linked with round beads of marbled burgundy and faceted beads of smoke and pearlized plum.  The two large faux stone nuggets have a shimmery gold wash.  It is 48″ with a lobster claw closure.  Emerald Isle is just the right touch of color and adds a little sparkle to Urbanite.  Emerald Isle has two large smoky green emerald-cut beads and two dusky pale green faux pearls that are mixed with a variety of smaller beads in jet black and pale green with a smoke/green aurora borealis finish.  Double strands of braided black thread connect this 48″ necklace with a 4″ extender.  This also looks very good doubled with Urbanite.  Our last combination is a beautiful summer pop of color!  Fuchsia is four strands of oblong glass beads in shades of fuchsia pink and purple with tiny black spacer beads.  It is 38.5″ long with hematite plated lobster closure and 3″ extender.

I hope this inspires you to have fun and play in your jewelry.  Don’t forget to come check it out in person on June 29th at my Annual Salem Chamber of Commerce Sale!
